Lock Upp: Sach Ya Sazaa — How Netflix's 2026 Reboot Brought the Jail Back

Four years after Kangana Ranaut's original and Munawar Faruqui's win, Lock Upp returned in 2026 as "Lock Upp: Sach Ya Sazaa" on Netflix — premiering June 27 and running 36 episodes to an August 5 finale.

This time the "jailers" were Farah Khan and Riteish Deshmukh, presiding over 17 contestants including Ram Kapoor, Shivangi Joshi, Pamala Serena, Urvashi Dholakia, Shilpa Shinde and Yogesh Rawat. Balaji Telefilms (Ekta Kapoor, Shobha Kapoor) produced the reboot.

A numbering note for fans: Wikipedia treats the Netflix run as the franchise's season 2, while much of the press calls it Season 1 of the reboot. We say: 2022 original → 2026 Netflix edition → next season announced.
