Bigg Boss 20 Grand Premiere: Salman Returns, 16 Contestants Enter, History Made

Bigg Boss Hindi Season 20 premiered on September 6, 2026, with Salman Khan opening the night performing 20 of his iconic songs — in a cowboy hat and a clean-shaven look — marking another year of his association with the franchise.

Sixteen contestants entered the house: boxing legend Mary Kom, TV stars Mahhi Vij, Kanika Mann and Amrapali Dubey, Punjabi actor Isha Rikhi, digital star Arishfa Khan, Fame Gurukul winner Qazi Touqeer, Panchayat's Aasif Khan, model Uditi Singh, singer Rhiti Tiwari, Love Gill, Roadies' Gullu, gamer ScoutOP, rapper Yung DSA and Austrian model Rohed Khan.

The season's big twist is "Tathas-Two" — every contestant gets two lifelines ("Extra Jeevan Daan"), meaning an evicted housemate can earn a second chance. And in a historic first, five regional Bigg Boss editions premiered the same day: Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada and Malayalam.

In the pre-premiere "Fans Ka Faisla" audience vote, Love Gill beat Rhiya Ahir to claim the 16th spot — entering the house with serious momentum.
